Qatar 2022 World Cup daily schedule; who plays today, November 25

There were no big surprises on Day 5 of the FIFA World Cup. Switzerland played their opening game vs. Cameroon and managed to come out on top after a hard-fought battle (1-0).

Favorites Uruguay couldn’t beat a South Korea squad that proved to be rock-solid in defense and even if Fede Valverde and Diego Godín had great scoring chances, the match ended in a goalless draw.

Cristiano Ronaldo played his fifth World Cup and he couldn’t have asked for a better opener: he scored the first goal of the game and Portugal managed to defeat Ghana in a game that saw five goals in the second half (3-2).

And finally, the No.1 favorites to win the World Cup, Brazil, made their debut in this edition against dangerous Serbia. The Brazilians enjoyed a dominant second 45, with Richarlison becoming the man of the match with his two goals that sealed the win for La Canarinha.

On Day 6; the Netherlands will have the chance of grabbing Group A’s top spot, Senegal will be aiming to grab their first three points and England will try to extend their offensive inspiration against the USMNT.

How and where to watch and follow the games

World Cup games today (all times ET)

Group B: Wales vs Iran (5 a.m.)

Gareth Bale and co. will be looking to get the three points that would allow them to keep fighting for one of the two spots that give access to the knockout stages.

Despite recording a poor first half vs the USMNT, Wales played better in the second half and got their reward from a penalty kick that was scored by Gareth Bale, a goal that lets the Red Dragons dream about the knockout stages.

Iran, who were outclassed by England, looked like a shadow of the team that had defeated Uruguay and tied to Senegal in September.

Group A: Qatar vs Senegal (8 a.m.)

It’s a do-or-die game for both nations, as they lost their openers to Ecuador and Netherlands by the same score (0-2).

Félix Sánchez men will need to improve drastically if they want to stand a chance against Senegal. In the World Cup opener, the hosts were outclassed by Ecuador, who got the win thanks to Enner Valencia’s two goals.

Senegal, who won’t have forward star Sadio Mané due to injury, got their chances of getting a good result against Louis Van Gaal’s side, but the favorites managed to score twice at the end of the match.

Group A: Netherlands vs Ecuador (11 a.m.)

The Netherlands were tipped by many to finish in Group A’s top spot, and for the time being, they haven’t disappointed.

But the battle is not over, as they are now facing Ecuador, who have proven to be a dangerous side and will want to score another shocking result in this surprising and unpredictable World Cup.

However, the Netherlands, who have never won the World Cup, have the edge when it comes to talent and experience in big tournaments.

Group B: England vs USA (2 p.m.)

One of the star games of the day is the England vs USA clash that will take place at the Al Bayt Stadium on Friday.

Gareth Southgate’s men will probably go into the match with lots of confidence and will try to win their opening two group matches at the World Cup for a fourth time.

Despite the fact that the Three Lions have defeated the Americans in eight of their 11 meetings across all competitions, Gregg Berhalter’s men will want to prove they deserve a spot among the best 16 teams in the world, although if they want to get to that point, they will need to perform way better than they did against Wales.
